A new study published by Baumgartner and colleagues in the July 2009 issue of the Annals of Vascular Surgery regarding thoracic Sympathectomy for palmar hyperhidrosis shows that:
According to the authors, “rather than being a last resort," thoracic Sympathectomy can be confidently recommended as first-line treatment for the typical, severe form of palmoplantar hyperhidrosis.
