Dr karamanoukian - I love the information you have about compensatory sweating. It was indeed helpful for me to see the unbiased analysis and presentation of this information on your website.

I did my research online and tried biofeedback and accupuncture for hyperhidrosis which did not help. I took Hyperhidrosis Fighter which has significantly reduced the amount of sweat from my palms and feet. I like this all natural product and have recommended it to others with excessive sweating.

I have had a great experience at the Center for Excessive Sweating with Dr Karamanoukian and staff. I came from Rochester after seeing 3 doctors over 6 years who were unable to help me get rid of my palmar hyperhidrosis. I had a sympathectomy procedure and BOOM it was gone when I touched my forehead in the recovery room. It has helped my professional life as I can shake client hands and not feel embarassed. Little compensatory sweating in the middle of my back when it is hot and humid. Well worth the dryness of my hands. A small price to pay. Dr Karamanoukian is very sympathetic and really takes time to explain the whole hyperhidrosis issue and even gives you a DVD to take home.

I came to see Dr karamanoukian for retrograde suction curettage (RSC). The procedure has worked for me as I decided to have this over micro ETS. Both were offered to me as options and after discussing it with Dr Karamanoukian I thought this was the best option and it turned out to be a good one for me. I can't wait to start teaching this season without the armpit sweating and staining of my shirts. No more embarrassment.
Charles L, Erie, PA, Jun 30th 2010
My sister and I had the retrodermal suction curettage procedure by Dr karaanoukian. My underarm sweating is gone away completely and my sister has only a tiny bit when it gets very hot and humid. We are both very happy and recommend suction curettage for anyone with underarm sweating. Forget Botox. This procedure works.

I had a bilateral sympathectomy last year. At first I was afraid it didn't work because I could still sweat. I didn't realize this is normal. Before I could sweat through 2 shirts just sitting there. Now the only time I ever sweat is when I should like when I exercise. Otherwise I am completely dry - hands feet and armpits I purposely waited until after summer to put up my testimonial because I wanted to see how different this summer would be. It was amazing not having to worry about sweat stains or smelly sandals due to excessive sweating. I am so happy with my results I would highly recommend this surgery to anyone who has excessive sweating and has tried everything else. The staff was very friendly and the doctor was not only thorough but very sensitive about this embarassing issue. I cannot thank the staff and Dr. Karamanukian enough for all their hard work during this life changing surgery

I came from Syracuse to see Dr Karamanoukian for his expertise and was treated appropriately with medication and when that didn't help he did the sympathectomy procedure and this has been great for me. I recommend him highly.

I had sympathectomy by Dr Gorenstein in New York. Dr Karamanoukian treated me for my compensatory sweating and now it is under control. Thanks a million and it was well worth the second opinion and care.

I used to drip sweat from my forehead and I tried the Hyperhidrosis Fighter and it has helped control this sweating problem. I was looking for alternative care and not surgery and found it at the Center for Excessive Sweating.

I had a great experience with my procedure at the Center for Excessive Sweating. The doctor is great and he gave me all options went over everything several times until he has satisfied that this is what I wanted to do. My ETS procedure went well and I am very very happy. I recooomend him highly.

I found out about this doctor on the web and didnt realize that they were doing this type of surgery here in this area. I had sympathectomy 3 years ago and still have dry hands and underarms. Thank you for helping so many people out.

I have been evaluated and treated at the Center for Excessive Sweating and the doctor is fabulous spends an inordinate amount of time explaining hyperhidrosis in detail and giving a treatment plan including all options - I had Botox and he got it passed through my insurance. I am now considering sympathectomy and he has spent two half hour sessions since my initial consultations to explain the procedure potential side effects and has directed me to read as much about the procedure as I could and brought me back to the office to discuss the procedure and side effect of compensatory sweating - Dr. Karamanoukian is great and one of a kind surgeon - he does not rush anyone through the process and welcomes those who bring in a lot of questions.
Gary W, Orchard Park, NY, Jul 3rd 2009
I took my son there for an evaluation and he was recommended Botox after a long discussion of the options. My son is very happy. I was very glad tohave the doctor do all the work to get it covered by insurance. The dermatologist that we went to wanted 800 dollars for the Botox. I recommend Dr. Karamanoukian highly.
Jessica G, Gowanda, NY, Jun 19th 2009
I had my consultation. I was very pleased with the time the doctor spent discussing all of my options in detail and also gave me a lot of literature and a handout to take home. Nothing is rushed and there is no push to have surgery at this place. He is very thorough and made me feel like an expert myself when I left the office.
Joanne R, Buffalo, NY, Jun 18th 2009
Doctor Karamanoukian - thanks for addressing my sweating problem. I had a great consultation and learned more than I thought I wanted to know about hyperhidrosis. It was very detailed and I feel like I am an expert and can deal with this problem. I will follow the treatment you have suggested and will be more patient in dealing with my insurance. I apologize if I was hasty in asking you to do the procedure next week. I understand your conservative approach. I look forward to coming back for more discussion about my condition.

I am glad I came to see you at the Center for Excessive Sweating. I was at the Cleveland Clinic and I felt that you have more experience because I did talk to 2 patients in the waiting room while I was waiting to see you. I am very impressed and can't wait to have the procedure. I got the impression from you and your patients that you are very conservative and try all other options and make sure that patients understand this thing with compensatory sweating. One patient in the wait room has some compensatory sweating but he was totally OK with it because he said you talked to him about this ad nauseum before he scheduled his case. He said it was the calculated risk he took. I want to come back and finalize my decision to get the sympathectomy procedure. I have read about it as you have suggested and I still think that the ETS procedure is the best thing for me. I realize taht I will have compensatory sweating because the sweating involves my head and neck but I can't live like this any longer. It creates too much of a problem for me in my personal life and at work. Thank you very much for spending the extra time to talk to me about all of my options and for suggesting that I wait and think about the procedure before signing up. I have made the decision not to go to Cleveland Clinic and have it done by you. Your office staff (Debbie) is great in answering all of my hyperhidrosis questions and insurance issues.
Alfred K, Rochester, NY, May 15th 2009
I saw Dr. Raffy karamanoukian for excessive sweating. He is wonderful and I agree on everything written about him on yelp.com
Vardan H, Los Angeles, CA, May 8th 2009
Doctor. Thank you for your help in finding me a doctor down here who is an expert in hyperhidrosis. You have been very gracious with your time in answering my emails. Cheers.
John W, Sydney Australia, May 8th 2009
I tried everything you suggested and I am now ready to have the procedure. I have spoken to my doctor and we did the research and I plan to travel to Buffalo to have the procedure. Your reputation is excellent. I did speak to several of your patients and they all loved the procedure. Two had compensatory sweating and they said that you went over that with them several times before the surgery as a known side offect of this procedure and they are silll very pleased and would do it all over again. I realize that I could get compensatory sweating and I have decided to get the procedure done. I can't see living with this problem forever. I would rather have compensatory sweating than this disabling dripping sweat from my hands.
